We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mike Hilliard to the Eikon Motorsports corporate headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona for a V2 Series Vertical Door System installation on his Cacti Green C8 Corvette—and what started as a simple install quickly turned into a full-blown transformation story.
This one took a turn we did not see coming… and we loved every second of it.
A Color Plan That Took a Sharp Left Turn 👀
When Mike originally arrived, the plan was clear: a Cacti Edition setup to match his factory Cacti Green C8. As we always explain to customers during consultations, color choice plays a massive role in how the car looks once the doors are raised.
- Colored brake calipers?We typically recommend matching your V2 caps and shocks to the calipers for a bold pop of contrast.
- Black brake calipers?We usually suggest matching the kit to the vehicle’s exterior color for a clean, cohesive look.
Mike’s C8 was running black calipers, so a Cacti-matched setup made perfect sense.
…until it didn’t.
Enter: Roswell Green 👽
While Mike’s car was in the shop, he spotted another customer’s Roswell Green caps and shocks staged and ready for shipping. One look was all it took.
That Roswell Green hit different in person.
So different, in fact, that Mike immediately pulled out his phone and called a local wrap shop to ask one question:
“Can you wrap my car in Roswell Green?”
Once they confirmed it was possible, the decision was instant.
“Alright—let’s change it up. Roswell Edition.”
The new plan was officially locked in.
The New Game Plan 🚀
Instead of sticking with the original Cacti Edition, Mike decided to go all-in:
- Install the Eikon Motorsports V2 Vertical Door System
- Finish the doors at our Phoenix HQ
- Send the car straight out to be fully wrapped in Roswell Green
A bold move—and exactly the kind of energy we love from our customers.

As of writing this post, Mike’s C8 is currently getting wrapped, and once it’s finished, he’ll be bringing it back to us so we can:
