First look at our new V1 platform. I will be posting some technical mumbo jumbo that may be confusing and as most would say is meaningless to them but it’s some things we’re pretty proud of and excited about.
When it comes to the overall options or choices customers may have to choose from when selecting the brand of kit for their ride, the pickings are rather slim, and when you focus that choice on current kits on the market with long-lasting quality well, there have pretty much only been two names to choose from. The massively overpriced LSD brand and the brand that for years we were selling and installing.
Let’s compare the two, Vertical Doors Inc and LSD. LSD is a german company and when it comes to their vertical doors it’s pretty much at the bottom of their corporate totem pole. Being owned by KW Automotive their number one focus is and will always remain on their suspension products. While their kits are stunning to look at, the functionality is less than desirable in our opinion. The shock is in a constant state of wanting to send the doors flying up, making bringing them down even more challenging. It also has a poorly functioning bearing/post system that guides the door or prevents the door from opening up when clearing would be an issue. Great for safety but again, sorta flawed.
Then your second option is Vertical Doors Inc. These guys make a great kit and there is no denying this as we stood by them for many years. With that being said, a great kit does not mean perfect or flawless. Many customer complaints about their kit would range from the poor paint job on their kits made in the US to edge buildup on their kits they have made in China. Personally, their china kits are often much better than the US-made ones. Moving from complaints about paint quality they extend to a multitude of other areas like too hard to lift, too hard to pull down, missing grease zerk fittings, and or just outright missing grease to squeaks when operating the doors.
Enter the V1

This kit may have many resemblances to other products out there but at the end of the day how many different types of ways can you bottle water right? We can assure you that some of the most crucial differences are those that may not stand out as so obvious.
We use nothing but the absolute highest grade and highest tensile strength Steel and Aluminum material in our kit. Using aerospace-grade bearings not only ensures the smoothest operation but also keep dirt and debris out meaning the very noticeable difference of no squeaks…like, ever!
Our bearings have a Dynamic load rating of 18,420lbs on the main “door to frame” housing and 9,800lbs on our top shock mount to door bracket. We were very serious about making sure longevity meant as close to a literal “forever” as possible.

One of the other major improvements is in the overall pleasing nature of its curves and edges. We are putting this on your beautiful designed C8 Corvette so you deserve an equally designed “visible” product that will be on your car.

I know what you’re saying, “Uh, how does this bolt-on? I don’t see any holes!” Well, if you zoom in real close you will see tiny little machined holes on the top and bottom corner pieces. These are our milled aluminum bolt caps that cover not only the two top and bottom bolts but also the new top and bottom placement locks. The PLs prevent slippage in the event of a loose bolt or lock tight failure. So now, when your doors are up and you are showing off your ride, there are no unsightly bolts that stand out. It’s the attention to detail that sets us apart.
Almost every complaint over the years from actual customers has been considered when designing this stunning kit. It’s now time to ramp up the production and start getting these installed on all our customer’s vehicles.
Like most manufacturers, we will be making changes or modifying the design as needed to address any potential issues that may or may not arise from our products. Being a true in-house manufacturer, we have the unique opportunity of making sure every single piece is machined with the exact tolerances needed, and that each bolt is debris-free and ready to be fastened to your vehicle.
Please don’t hesitate to comment below as we welcome any and all questions.

Way cool! Cant wait to see the new hinge in person.
