So first, I’d like to say, burrr.. Second, I’d like to thank Tyler for being as patient as he has been with us during the process of waiting for his installation.
If you are like most, then you probably have a distaste for those who choose to equip their rides with vertical doors. You’ve heard or said the old saying, “leave those on Lamborghini where they belong”. Most of this hatred or distaste is due to the massive amount of horror stories you can see online, talking about water leaks, air leaks, rattling, etc.
Lets clear the air about lambo door kits. Their are a handful of kits on the market ranging from $200 to $4000. Now, the price of the kit has a significant impact on the overall quality of the finished product for sure but what has the title of the “Most Important” part is the actual installation. With that being said, even we cant promise success and longevity with the cheap kits, or weld on kits as they are for sure most known by. This is due to the design, materials, and functionality of said kits.
All cars have different angles in which the bolts on the door side sit at. Meaning, a flat surface welded to the door is going to add an angle to the main bracket that needs to attach to the frame of the car. This also effects the tension on the strut now being at a weird angle. These stress points will inevitably cause failure in the whole door. An example of what that looks like can be found here. A lot of our installations every month are not just brand new, never touched cars. A lot are repairs and replacement with the kit brand we use.
You Get What You Pay For
That saying has never been more true that when it comes to lambo doors. If you go cheap on the kit and installation, or try to do it yourself you will have issues. Please do not take this as an arrogant or cocky statement and definitely dont take as a sales pitch. This is 100% one car guy to the next! While every shop in the world “occasionally” may install a set of lambo doors there is only ONE company that ONLY does lambo doors. Eikon Motorsports.
Have you ever wondered why all you ever see is a picture of a car with the doors up? Would you believe me if I said it’s because 90% of them have been installed wrong and thus leaves the car when the doors are closed looking pretty ugly and visibly altered? Now, I’m not saying we are your only option to get your doors installed. I am however saying that we are the only company that is going to give you a lifetime warranty on your doors, as well as leave your car looking EXACTLY like it did from the factory.
On To The Install

C8 LAMBO DOORS BY EIKON MOTORSPORTS
This little red rocket was done in, for me, the frigid temps of Connecticut. Winter is for sure my most dreaded time of the year. For some reason it seems that all of our summer installs are done inside garages and come winter, everyone wants to do them outside in the freezing cold driveway lol. This one, however, was done in a garage with a heater so it was not uncomfortable in any way and was a pleasure to do.

As most of you who follow us already know, the whole front end comes of this beast to allow access to all the places we have to get into. While it may look bad, I can assure you that all parts are in perfectly qualified and skilled hands. For me, once I get the car torn apart, I start on the doors. I get inside them and gain access to all the wires which allows us to plug our proprietary extension into the factory harness, giving us more than enough wire to be able to HIDE the factory wires from the unclean look when the doors are up.

Once I am finished with the wires, and remove the door latch through the speaker port, I am now able to close the door for the last time. The next time its going to open is to go up.

Once I have properly installed the new hinge, I then work on minor alignment issues, ensuring a factory measured fitment of the door. We obtain this by using our own laser system we built that attaches to the door. The lasers are focused on key locations and exact measurements are matched to the factory measurements. After all the technical work and physical work is done, I then make the modifications to the backside of the fenders and start reassembly of the vehicle. What we are left with can be seen below 🙂
We Come To You
It’s a common thought that we charge additional prices (more than what is listed on our website) for coming directly to you to install your doors. This is false information or thoughts. If our website says your installed price for whatever type of vehicle you have is $2799, that’s the only price you are paying. It is the same price someone local to us would pay. Also, another incorrect thought is that you can just ship or drive your car to us and get in for an installation. This is also incorrect. While we do other odds and ends to cars and trucks locally, all of our lambo door installation experts are actually out installing doors on a customer’s car at their home. You will still need to have an appointment for your lambo door installation by Eikon Motorsports.
