Some installations mean a little more than others, and Alex Alsalmi’s Torch Edition #22 C8 Corvette Z06 is definitely one we’ll remember.
Alex had been waiting quite a long time for his installation. Through everything our company has been rebuilding and working through, he remained incredibly patient and understanding of the process. Customers like Alex remind us why we keep pushing forward to make Eikon Motorsports better every day.
When the day finally came for the installation in Nashville, Tennessee, we were excited to get started.
A Major Improvement in the V2 Design
One of the most interesting parts of this installation was seeing the results of our new welding layout and fabrication process in action.
During the development and rebuilding of the V2 platform, we made several changes to how the components are produced and assembled. What we didn’t fully expect was just how much these improvements would impact the installation process itself.
On Alex’s Z06, the updated welding layout created a noticeable improvement in alignment and ease of installation. For our installers, that meant smoother setup, cleaner fitment, and a more efficient install process overall.
It’s always exciting when engineering improvements translate into real-world benefits, and this installation was a perfect example of that.
An Installation Experience We Won’t Forget
Beyond the technical side, the experience itself was incredible.
Alex showed amazing hospitality throughout the entire visit. In fact, he even made dinner for Tim during the installation — an amazing steak with broccoli and rice that definitely hit the spot after a long day working on the car.
Moments like that remind us that these installs aren’t just about the hardware or the modification itself — they’re about the people we meet along the way.
Throughout the installation, Alex asked a lot of great questions about the process and how everything works. We absolutely encourage that.
At Eikon Motorsports, we believe customers should understand why things are done the way they are and what goes into modifying a vehicle like the C8 Corvette. Being able to explain the design, the hinge geometry, and the function of the system is something we genuinely enjoy sharing.
The Final Result
Once everything was finished and the doors were lifted for the first time, the results spoke for themselves.
Alex’s Torch Edition #22 C8 Corvette Z06 looked absolutely incredible with the Eikon Motorsports V2 vertical door system installed. The lines of the car, combined with the upward door movement, completely transform the look of the Z06.
Most importantly, Alex couldn’t have been happier with the result.
Seeing that reaction is the best part of the job.
